The Only Footwear You Need This Winter

As Summer time comes to an end and the temperature starts to dip, its time to start putting some thought into what creps you will be utilising this autumn/winter season. We’ve had a whole load of winterised shoes coming in to get you ready for it… including some footwear from Nike, Vans, Redwing, Dickies and many more.

Having a wardrobe full of warm and cosy clothes is great, but without a good footwear game plan heading into the winter season, you’re setting yourself up for a cold, wet couple of months… but don’t worry, you don’t have to wear boots all the time. Winter footwear is more versatile than ever thanks to big sneaker brands making their best-selling trainers more winter-ready. Since winterised sneakers are an emerging trend in the shoe market at the moment, you can choose from various styles and designs. These sneakers are often preferred to boots because of their comfort and flexibility. We’ve had a think and found a couple of tips on which trainers are perfect for winter and will last.

First up we have the Nike Lunar Force 1 Duck Boot…

These boots are a great example of a pair of hi-tops that deliver on the comfort and style side of things but also excel in ensuring you stay well protected from the inclement weather of the winter months. Boasting a hybrid design with a clear nod to the classic AF1 appeals to retro sneakerheads. Crafted from the best materials to deliver the impeccable comfort and style, these supremely cool and bold looking boots have definitely captured our attention.

Next up we have the Nike Sneakerboot…

The Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot updates the iconic ’90s runner for cold-weather comfort with warm, water-resistant materials, aggressive traction and reflective details that shine in low light. The water-resistant textile design design features a waterproof leather toe to help keep you dry. A heat-reflective lining on the neoprene inner sleeve provides warmth that surrounds your foot making it perfect for the winter.

Next… The Vans MTE

The Sk8-Hi MTE revamps the legendary Vans high top with additions designed for the elements. Premium weather-resistant leather uppers, warm linings and a heat retention layer between sockliner and outsole keep feet warm and dry whilst the newly-constructed vulcanised lug outsole takes advantage of 20 years of snow boot history for maximum traction.

Next up we have Red Wing

Red Wing have such a large collection of boots and shoes appropriate for heavy duty work in any weather conditions or just casual day to day wear around the town. The 875 is a true classic of American design and craftsmanship. Originally designed in the 1950s, the design has remained the same ever since. Although originally designed for heavy duty work, they’re also perfectly suited to modern life blending comfort and style, and this boot only gets better with age.

Finally, we have Dickies

The Dickies New Orleans Moc Toe boot is new to the AW18 range, constructed from a premium leather, with a cushioned EVA insock for ultimate comfort all day long. Offering a premium construction and a classic look in a boot that is built to last. The moc toe construction makes them perfect for work or casual wear, finished off with contrast stitching, gold boot laces and a debossed Dickies logo at the heel. These boots are perfect for the winter season by keeping warmth in and moisture out, available in four wearable colours.
