G.H Bass started out in 1876 in Maine, New England by George Henry Bass with the ethos of making high quality shoes that were able to be worn by anyone and still look as elegant and stylish as possible. In 1936 he first took a humble Norwegian farm shoe and redesigned it into the now famous Weejun Penny loafer, with his success with the shoe G.H Bass has now become one of the leading manufacturers of high quality shoes with it's ever growing range of styles from the Decker, Loafer to the now signature Weejun Penny Loafer.
The Weejun Layton 2 by G.H.Bass is constructed from a smooth leather with hand-stitched seams in waxed thread. This loafer is a slip on design and features decorative matching tassels on the top of the foot. A leather heel sock with gold foil branding gives a high quality look and feel and a polished leather heel with a rubber top piece makes for a clean look. Finished off with a waist to waist black stitch welt and natural blake outsole threading, with G.H.Bass its all in the details.
