You might think of hip-hop when you think about Tims, or Timmies, or Timbos, it's hard not to when every rapper rocked a pair of premium high boots in the mid naughties. However, Timberland has a rich history steeped in heritage and American craftsmanship. Nathan Swartz began his career as an apprentice stitcher in Boston in 1918 and would hone his skills enough to buy a stake in The Abington Shoe Company in 1952. Schwartz eventually bought the whole lot and designed a line of waterproof leather boots and he called the brand, "Timberland." It's safe to say that the rest is history. Timberland are known the world over for their exceptional premium leather, suede and nubuck boots, as well as a quality maker of leather shoes and boat shoes. That little tree is one of the most recognisable logos in footwear and we'll be stocking the staples as well as interesting new lines for years to come.
